About Dr Yacoob
Dr Yacoob obtained her MBChB degree from the University of Natal in 2002.
After completing her internship and community service at King Edward VIII Academic Hospital and Far East Rand Hospital respectively, she furthered her medical training by working as locum Specialist Registrar in Internal Medicine at various academic hospitals in the UK.
On returning home, Dr Yacoob spent time working in paediatric vaccine research and preventative medicine before entering private practise in 2009. She has since been in service to the Northriding / Olivedale community (and beyond) from her rooms at All Saints Centre.
Dr Yacoob also holds a Certificate in Travel Medicine (2015) from WITS University. She is a member of the South African Academy of Family Physicians and has a special interest in Family Medicine and Preventative Healthcare. She attends various medical conferences and Continuing Medical Education modules regularly in order to keep up to date with the latest medical developments.
